Complete Kitchen Renovation
It was time to update the kitchen in this 30 year old log home. One very important goal was to modernize and brighten up the space. Glass upper doors, light (heated) travertine flooring and plain light silestone counter tops made the big difference. Very simple cabinetry was used to draw attention to the beautiful log walls. The red of the chairs and pantry add excitement, a delicious flair and the urge to actually use the energy efficient European appliances.
Complete Bedroom Renovation
Tranquillity, luxury and sparkle was the goal for this bedroom on a tight budget. The use of silk, organza, crystals on the wallpaper, glass lamps and chandelier and trim on the roman shades do all that. The headboard was a real challenge with 2 layers of fabric, the silk and the organza also used in the drapery, to show off the beautiful tree pattern. The upholstered chair is a nice spot to just hang out with a book.
Already mentioned by the Owner of the Restaurant there was no help from Kani Interiors except the Window treatment. Customers were complaining about the afternoon sun and the roman blinds take care of that problem without taking away the light. They also complete the overall look of the Restaurant.
It is very important to have a good Upholsterer. I am working with Applewood Upholstery and Dan Ayres is always up for a challenge like the 2 headboards we created together. He loves to bring heirloom furniture back to its beauty like the beige colour chair.
I have created and produced many window treatments in the past years. Here are just a few.
Many times it is small details that make the difference, added trim or a inventive way of putting up a drapery, to have your very own creation. Some of the pillows I made for my favourite charities, or a special customer.
